Students of Christian Central Academys Dominican Republic visit
Christian Central Academys twenty four seniors raised thousands and thousands of dollars to pay to go on a mercy mission to Dominican Republic. The students found hope in the midst of pain and poverty. Allison Balk told that in Buffalo, they see poor people, but she has never seen poverty as bad as it is over there. Their kids do not have food. They almost has nothing, still they are very happy.
Brandon Gonzalez stated that the week in the Caribbean was quite special. They just have one bed, and there is a bunch of kids like twelve kids in one bed, sharing, yet smiling.
Tyler McFadden as well as his mates helped plant gardens. While speaking to a news channel, he told that they just did what they could to try to help everyone around. Like the garden they attempted to do their best to supply them with food and vegetables; therefore, they were able to bless them with that.
Emily Parlato told that just spending some time with the children there meant the most to her. They were so blessed in what they have, and they take it so much for granted, and most people do not realize how little other people have and how good they have with them.
The Christian Central Academy students also went to a girls orphanage and attended to families at a school for children who are poor. The Christian Central Academy senior class makes this tour each spring.
